Happy Fall!
As we enthusiastically await our library remodel to complete, we are hosting library visits in our beautiful nature lab! We are all adapting with a sense of humor as our free ranging chickens waddle through our space and our lively goats send over a bleating welcome to each new class upon arrival…we are flexible and grateful!
A couple quick notes.
  •  We are actively looking for a library instructional assistant. If you are interested in a 11:30am-3:00pm, M-F part time position, please learn more HERE!
  • Our library books are in storage until we relocate indoors. Students are to bring either a book from their classroom, home or public library to the library each week.
  • This year, I will be teaching the Digital Citizenship curriculum K-6. Please ask your student about the lessons when you see their work in their Friday Folders. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
  • In grades 4-6, students are deep diving into their “Reading Passports” which will frame their mid  end of year reading goals, broaden their interests by exploring a range of genres and engage in regular book talks.
  • In grades TK-3, students have begun the school year listening and discussing our Habit of Mind character trait, “Listening with Empathy and Understanding.” Depending on the grade level, we are introducing/reviewing literary elements such as parts of a book, character, setting, problem and solution.
Please know the Library Website is the place to visit for Library Programs, Always feel free to contact me with any questions etc. High fives!
