Hello Mustangs! Here's what happened in the Library this week! September 27 - October 1st In the library this week, we focused on the Habit of Mind element, Listening with Empathy via Madeline Finn and the Library Dog by Lisa Papp (K-2) and Rescue & Jessica, A Life-Changing Friendship by Jessica Kensky and Patrick Downes (3-6). Both of these books are true stories allowing students to empathize with the character's challenges and experiences. Both received enthusiastic clapping and discussion after our reading. Additionally, students listened to the authors of Rescue & Jessica and heard them discuss their lives as amputees and how with the help of Rescue, they persevered. Kindergarten also welcomed in the fall by reading Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. Finally, we celebrated a fresh batch of library books! Students had an opportunity to browse the new books displayed this week and are eager to check them out beginning next week. And don't forget, this Saturday morning from 9:00-11:30am, the SBCOE is hosting a free, virtual Breakfast with the Authors. Click HERE for more details! Have a great weekend Mustang families!!
