Library Class visits: In addition to browsing and checking books out each week, students will take part in discussing school-wide Habits of Mind and library themes, engage in optional library programs, develop database research skills and engage in a vast collection of high interest fiction and non-fiction print and online titles. Books may be checked out for 2 weeks as follows: K-6 - 2 books to start the year. Responsible, avid readers may check out more books as needed. Parents - 5 books *Books may be renewed once for an additional 2 weeks
Book Return: Books become overdue after 2 weeks. Students may return books earlier than the due date and check out another book. The expectation is that each student will have at least 1 library book throughout the school year. If a student is in the middle of a book, they must bring it to read while others are browsing.
Holds: 1 book may be held for 1 week before it is returned to the shelf.
